Open call for proposals: financial access for smallholder farmers in Sierra Leone

ACTB and Alterfin are pleased to announce an open call for proposals for companies and organizations interested in implementing the "In-kind Lending Product Development to Enhance Financial Access for Smallholder Farmers in Sierra Leone."

The general objective is to test a tailor-made and innovative agricultural product for smallholder farmers and expand the ACTB loan products to rural areas. Within the project, ACTB is also looking for support in terms of business model development to accelerate the scale-up of its lending activities.

ACTB and Alterfin seek specialised consulting and advisory service providers with experience in implementing similar projects in Africa.

The indicative start date is October 2023, and the implementation period is estimated to be between 13 to 24 months.

Upon receipt of your interest in the call, we will share comprehensive details encompassing the project's background, full description, objectives, and deliverables. These aspects should be considered when formulating and submitting your final proposal. An application form will be provided alongside the ToR to facilitate submission.

Alterfin supports this initiative through Donor funding under the Smallholder Safety Net Up-Scaling Programme (SSNUP). The implementation of this project is carried out in collaboration with ACTB, which also acts as the co-financing entity for the mentioned project.
